vimiReport
vimiReport is the one place where you can generate, view and export cross-module reports - leave balances, vimiTeam performance, EWF contributions, diamond movements and more - all in Print, PDF or Excel format.
What is it?โ
vimiReport is vimigo's reporting centre. Every module (vimiLeave, vimiGoal, vimiSales, vimiTeam, vimiBank, vimiRoadmap, vimiClass, vimiReview, vimiBadge, vimiChallenge, EWF, Diamond, vimiCheck-In, Personal commission, and the general vimigo automation logs) has a tab here, and each tab carries one or more named reports.
Instead of exporting data from inside each individual module, you come here, pick the report you want, pick the period, click "Generate", then "View" - and from the view you can export to PDF, Excel, print directly, or select custom fields.
At a Malaysian SME this is the tool you'll reach for when:
- HR needs the monthly leave balance sheet for payroll.
- Sales management needs the vimiTeam performance list for commission payout.
- Finance needs the EWF contribution report for the quarter.
- The boss asks for a diamond movement summary before the year-end awards.
Each report has a status - "Processed" (already generated, click "View") or "Not Processed" (click "Generate" first, which runs the report in the background, then "View" once it's ready).
Quick Startโ
If you've never opened vimiReport before:
- In the web admin panel, click "All Features" at the top and under the "Stats" group, click "vimiReport 2.0".
- At the top of the page you'll see tabs: "vimiTeam", "vimiSales", "vimiGoal", "vimiRoadmap", "vimiClass", "vimiBank", "vimiLeave", "vimiReview", "vimiBadge", "vimiChallenge", "EWF", "Personal", "Diamond", "vimiCheck-In", "vimigo Automation". Pick the module you want to report on.
- Click "Generate" next to the report. Wait for the status to change to "Processed" (can take anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on data size).
- Click "View" to open the generated report.
- Use the "Print", "PDF", "Excel" or "Custom Field" buttons at the top to export in your preferred format.
After this you'll have a downloadable file in the format your payroll, finance, or management person can actually use.
For Admins (Employer / HR / Manager)โ
How to generate a reportโ
- Navigate to "All Features" > "Stats" > "vimiReport 2.0".
- Click the module tab for the report you want. Common ones:
- "vimiLeave" - leave entitlements, taken, balance by employee; overtime logs.
- "vimiTeam" - team performance list, team performance by month, manual split rewards.
- "vimiSales" - personal sales target achievement.
- "vimiGoal" - goal achievement history, KPI summary.
- "EWF" - Employee Welfare Fund contributions and payouts.
- "Diamond" - diamond transactions across the company.
- "vimiCheck-In" - attendance clock-in / clock-out records.
- Find the row for the specific report you need. Each row shows:
- Report name (e.g.
vimiTeam Performance List,2024 vimiTeam Performance by Month). - Current status: "Processed" (with a last-generated timestamp) or "Not Processed".
- An action button: "View" or "Generate".
- Report name (e.g.
- If the status is "Not Processed", click "Generate". Confirm the filters if asked (e.g. the year).
- Refresh after a moment. The row updates to show "Processed" and a "Last Generated" timestamp.
- Click "View" to open the generated report.
Tip: If the data is very large (a whole year of vimiTeam performance across 50 staff and 12 months), expect a 30 to 90 second wait after clicking "Generate". You can close the tab and come back later - the report keeps running in the background.
How to apply filters before viewingโ
Inside most report views, you can narrow the data before exporting:
- Open the report via "View".
- At the top of the table, use the filter controls. The exact set varies per report, but typical filters include:
- Date range - e.g. "January 2024" to "May 2024".
- Department - "All Departments" or pick specific ones like Sales, Operations, HR.
- Mission / goal - "All Mission" or a specific vimiGoal or vimiTeam mission.
- Status - published only, processed only, etc.
- Click "Generate" (inside the view) to apply the filters to the current session.
- The table below refreshes with the filtered data. Now export.
How to export to PDF or Excelโ
Every generated report view has the same export toolbar:
- Above the data table, you'll see buttons for "Print", "PDF", "Excel" and "Custom Field".
- Click:
- "Print" - sends the current view to your browser print dialog.
- "PDF" - downloads the report as a PDF file.
- "Excel" - downloads an
.xlsxfile you can open in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice Calc. - "Custom Field" - opens a dialog where you pick which columns to include in the next export. Useful when the default export has more columns than payroll actually needs.
- The file downloads to your browser's default downloads folder.
Tip: For payroll, export to Excel and keep the file for audit. PDFs are better for management reports you'll email to the boss.
How to schedule a recurring reportโ
vimiReport generates reports on demand - there isn't a visible in-app scheduler for end users today. In practice, most companies handle this as a monthly ritual: on the last working day, an HR admin logs in, generates each report they need, and exports to Excel.
Verify: If your company has bespoke automated reports (delivered by email on a schedule), those are typically set up by support on your behalf. Check with your account manager whether this applies to you.
How to get a report across modules (e.g. leaves + goals combined)โ
vimiReport organises reports per module - each tab gives you one slice. For cross-module summaries, you have two options:
- Export both reports separately to Excel, then join them yourself (for example, cross-reference employee IDs in a pivot table). This is the common approach.
- Use vimiCalculator or the Leaderboard for module-crossing totals if your company's plan includes them.
Verify: Check with your admin whether you have access to vimiCalculator - it's a separate feature under "All Features" > "Stats" > "vimiCalculator" that performs cross-module math.

For Employeesโ
vimiReport in its current form is mainly an admin / HR tool. Regular employees usually don't have access to the "vimiReport 2.0" menu. If you need to see your own numbers, look inside the individual module's own dashboard - your vimiGoal tab shows your goal history, your vimiLeave tab shows your leave balance, and so on.
Tip: If you're a manager and you want your staff's data but can't see the "vimiReport 2.0" menu, ask your HR admin to grant you access rights for reports. Access is controlled by role, not by seniority alone.

FAQโ
Q: I clicked Generate and nothing happened. Is it broken?
A: Most likely the report is processing in the background. Refresh the page after 30 to 60 seconds - the status should flip from "Not Processed" to "Processed" and a "View" button will appear. For very large companies, some yearly reports can take a couple of minutes.
Q: I generated a report last week. Do I need to regenerate to see new data?
A: Yes. A "Processed" report is a frozen snapshot of the data at the time you clicked "Generate". If anything has changed since (new leaves, new sales), you need to click "Generate" again to include them.
Q: Can I export to Google Sheets directly?
A: Not directly from vimigo. Export to Excel (.xlsx) and upload it to Google Drive, or paste it into a Google Sheet. Most browsers will also let you drag the downloaded file into an open Google Sheets tab.
Q: Why does the vimiTeam report show commission columns but no amount?
A: The commission columns (M1 Target, M1 Reward, and so on) only populate once the relevant period has closed and the commission has been processed. Mid-month reports will show targets but not yet the final reward amounts.
Q: Can I share a report with someone who's not in vimigo?
A: Yes - export it to PDF or Excel and send the file by email. The file doesn't contain any live links; it's a static export.
Q: Is my exported data secure?
A: The file is generated and downloaded through your admin session. Once it's on your computer, it's on you to keep it safe - store it somewhere only authorised people can access, especially if it contains salary or leave data.
Q: The tab I need doesn't appear.
A: Tabs only show for modules your company has enabled. If you can't see the "EWF" tab, your company may not have the EWF module turned on. Ask your account manager or support.
Q: Can I build my own custom report from scratch?
A: vimiReport uses a fixed set of pre-built reports per module. For custom reporting, export the closest pre-built report to Excel and reshape it there, or ask support whether a custom report can be added for your tenant.
